Penelope Saves the Planet

Ten-year-old Penelope’s dream will come true on her birthday when her father bestows her choice of a magical gift. But, with many fine gifts on offer; reading people’s minds, seeing the future, invisibility and more, Penelope has her young heart set on a gift long overlooked, the gift of flight. 

After months of trying to sway him, and with her Bestowal Day only a week away, Penelope has one final meeting to convince her increasingly reluctant dad, a serious businessman, that flight is a worthy gift. And, she needs more than his agreement. Law and legend command that he grant her petition. But, if her father’s heart and mind hold any reservation, Penelope will be doomed to skim the ground fluttering like a fledgling, never to soar the clifftops like the Giant Owls.

This morning is Penelope’s very last chance to live her dream or have her life destroyed by a father who she knows is trying to do what he thinks is best for her, change her mind. They each have a lot to lose.
